as fish excrete waste in the tank, the plant atop absorbs this waste
as nourishment, which in turn cleans the tank’s water.
For those more interested in growing plants hydroponically,

Your Betta’s New Home:
Bettas are the most popular fish for our 0.5 Gallon Aqua-Ponic Tank.
With that said, please decrease the water level about an inch,
giving them enough space to breath from the water’s surface.
Weekly partial water changes are highly recommended.
